Open House at the Farmhouse on Saturday, May 19 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. 

How many times have you driven by that pretty white Farmhouse at 301 W. Lies Road and wondered what the "Historic Farmhouse" was all about?  We will be open for you to stop by and check it out!  Docents will be happy to answer your questions. This is a drop in event so come anytime during the open house and stay for a few minutes or until 4. 

 

Farmhouse Garden Walk, Thursday, June 7, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Master Gardener, Marlene Ashby, will welcome guests to the Farmhouse Gardens lead a tour that focuses on vintage perennials and heritage gardening. Independence Day, July 4

Come join us for the Carol Stream 4th of July parade. You are living history! This is Illinois' bicentennial year and to celebrate we are gathering folks who would like to participate in celebrating our heritage by walking with us in the parade.  If you've always wanted to be in a parade, here's your opportunity. All you have to do is wear red, white and blue and bring a small flag. Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Interested?  Email us at CarolStreamHistoricalSociety@gmail.com so we can provide you with details. 

 

Country Fair at the Farmhouse (Family Day) Saturday, September 15 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Country Fair at the Farmhouse is back!  Join us for old fashioned games, crafts and experiences for the whole family! There will be food and fun for everyone.  Maggie the Cow will be back, as will the Mercantile.  Watch for additional details and make plans now to stop by.

The Carol Stream Historical Society was founded in 1976 for the purpose of celebrating the Nation's Bi-Centennial. The projects of the society are the Historic Farmhouse on Lies Road, the Gretna Museum and the Caboose, both located at Armstrong Park in Carol Stream.
